Between Angoulême and Cognac, in the village of Bassac.
The visitor to this major Benedictine abbey is immediately impressed by its architecture emerging from the vineyards. One thousand years nof history, from the 11th century until our day, can be read in the stonework. Classic, gothic and baroque styles sit seamlessly side by side, recalling moments of pain and glory.
Free access to the church, the cloister and the gardens of the Abbey. Rooms of conventual buildings accessible according to events and guided tours (on reservation).
