Discreet municipality located on the borders of Grande Champagne, Touzac has preserved its dynamism and authenticity. In recent years, the small school has been reinvested by a center of contemporary art, Chabram², which welcomes and supports renowned artists. Let yourself be tempted by the surprising charms of this small village.
We will draw your attention to 5 points:
1 - The church and its place of chestnut trees centenarians.
2 - At the place called "Le Puy de Neuville" rise the remains of a castle. The imposing building has suffered the ravages of time but still has its monumental gateway that a drawbridge was closing.
3 - Former windmill, a crenellated tower stands solitary on the heights of the town and offers a remarkable view of the surroundings.
4 - The cemetery of the town was moved in 1887 to the place called "Les Bouts du loup". Only one chapel remains in the village and bears witness to the place of origin.
5 - The former manor of Peigerie eighteenth century dominates the town. Local history tells that the lantern, lit after dark, served as a signal to the smugglers.
