exhibition - COGNAC

Telescoping (Subject to inventory) is an exhibition dedicated to the digital prints of Pierre Raterron.
The way in which the works are presented is a first: the exhibition is shown in the various media of the city and whose usual use is dedicated to municipal and advertising messages.
The purpose of this unique event is to offer passersby a telescope, an unexpected “art bowl”, at the bend of a street and to provoke contact for all with the works.
For this first, the choice of the artist was naturally made by Pierre Raterron, pioneer of digital art, in the Charente for 34 years, where his commitment to “access to culture for all” was total, especially in Cognac, where 20 years ago he chose to live with his wife. His pioneering work on digital prints established itself as the ideal “material” for this exhibition.
The urban route features 30 of his works. They alternate with messages from the City and advertisers.
In parallel, classic “paper” posters are placed in Cognac neighbourhoods. They announce the exhibition and are equipped with a flash code that leads to an article on the City’s website, virtual room, in which are mentioned the titles of the works.
