Cognac Pasquet

The history of our vineyard began in 1730 with the Serillet family. The property was then passed on from generation to generation and became part of the Pasquet family in 1924 thanks to the marriage of Miss Léonie Pasquet to Mr Albert Brisson. Having been unable to pass on the vineyard to their son André, it was my father, Jean-Luc, who inherited the property in 1970.

The adventure of bottle sales began in 1977, with the creation of the Jean-Luc Pasquet Cognac brand. His own production and the stocks inherited from Uncle will enable him to create a range offering cognacs ranging from four years old to the very old and very rare "Oncle Albert" of 80 years old. The exceptional nature of its terroir, where all the nobility of the Grande Champagne region is expressed, will enable it to acquire a good reputation on the various export markets where it sells its Cognacs and notably in Germany thanks to the work of Mr Packzensky.

For 22 years, Jean-Luc and Marie-Françoise cultivated their vines in a conventional way until one of their plots showed signs of poor health. That same year, in 1994, they discovered organic farming practices and were thus seduced by this new method of cultivation. A year's trial was enough to convince them that they were on the right track, so they reconverted the whole vineyard in 1995 and obtained the Organic Agriculture label in 1998.

Five years later, they are very proud to present their first Organic Cognac: the Organic VS "Terroir", now completed by the Organic VSOP. This new way of working led Jean-Luc and Marie-Françoise to develop new aperitifs and this is how Raisignac and Marie-Framboise, aperitif drinks, were born at the beginning of the 2000s.
